Your generous gift to the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites helps welcome more than 60,000 Indiana school children and educators from around the state as part of a free school field trip program. And, thanks to the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP), you can receive up to 50% of your charitable donation back as a state tax credit to reduce your tax liability when filing an end-of-year Indiana tax return. Unlike a tax deduction, NAP credits are applied to your Indiana State tax liability—the taxes owed after all deductions are taken.
As an example:
You provide a gift of $100 to support FREE school field trips at the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites.
In addition, the total amount of your gift may be claimed as a deduction on an itemized federal income tax return.
