Note: Traffic and parking will be different during the weeks prior to Super Bowl XLVI, as well as hours and accessibility to the museum.

Public transportation in Indianapolis
IndyGo operates 29 bus routes across Marion County. White River State Park and Military Park are directly served by six routes, and nearly every route converges on Ohio Street, downtown Indianapolis — just a five-block walk to the museum. From the North
Take I-65 South to Exit 114. Go south on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St./West St. to Washington St. Turn west (right) onto Washington St. The Indiana State Museum is on the right. Once on Washington St., the entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right.
OR
Take I-69 South to I-465 South to I-70 West to I-65 North to Exit 114. Go south (left) on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. St./West St. to Washington St. Turn west (right) onto Washington St. The Indiana State Museum is on the right. Once on Washington St., the entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right.

Take I-65 North to I-70 West. Then, take the West St. exit (79A). Go north (right) on West St./Missouri St. to Washington St. Turn west (left) onto Washington St. The Indiana State Museum is on the right. Once on Washington St., the entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right.

From the East
Take I-70 West to I-65 North to the West St. exit (114). Go south (left) on West St. to Washington St. Turn west (right) onto Washington St. The Indiana State Museum is on the right. Once on Washington St., the entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right.
OR
Take I-74 West to Southeastern Ave. (stay on I-74 until it ends and becomes Southeastern Ave.) to Washington St. Turn west (left) onto Washington St. and proceed approximately 10 blocks to the Indiana State Museum. The entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right after crossing West St.

Take I-74 East to I-465 South to Washington St. Turn east onto Washington St. and travel about 6 miles to the Indiana State Museum.
OR
Take I-70 East to the West St. exit (79A). Go north (left) on West St./Missouri St. to Washington St. Turn west (left) onto Washington St. The Indiana State Museum is on the right. Once on Washington St., the entrance to the underground parking garage is located on the immediate right.
