Hoosiers Reading Frederick Douglass Together

Join us for an interactive audience participation reading of one of Frederick Douglass's famous speeches: The Freeman’s Monument to Abraham Lincoln. Douglass gave this speech in 1876 at the unveiling of a monument paid for by former slaves. Douglass addresses Lincoln's legacy and actions. Following the reading, we will discuss the value of Douglass's words in today's society.
