  • Small Wonders: Winter Wonderland

    Indiana State Museum

    Children will be inspired by the winter world around them. From investigating snowflakes and ice, kids will explore all things winter! Other activities include an interactive story time, snowy sensory play, and card making.

    Small Wonders invites parents, grandparents, and caregivers and their 3- to 5-year-olds to learn, play and discover in the museum. Our monthly program will build your child’s sense of wonder and playfulness as they engage in storytelling, hands-on activities, music, movement, art and gallery exploration. 

    Cost: $9 members/$12 non-members

  • Christmas at the Puppet Studio

    Peewinkles Puppets at the Indiana State Museum

    The whole family will enjoy this music-and-puppet-filled Christmas variety show. Mozart & Ludmilla, the mice who live in the piano, host this well-loved show. A perfect gift for the family.

    Join Santa and Mrs. Claus at this members-only family-friendly buffet featuring holiday classics such as L.S. Ayres chicken velvet soup, carved turkey, Santa’s sundae bar and other treats. Plus, ride the Santa Claus Express train, enjoy live music from The Rusty Musket and play in Santa’s Workshop. The first 100 families to register receive a free keepsake photo with Santa.

    Bears usually hibernate in the winter, but our bear really, really wants to see his first snowflake. So, Bear decided to skip hibernation – and celebrate. Can Bear stay up? Will Bear see his first snow? Learn about winter and help keep Bear awake during this interactive play for families with children ages 3-5.
