This summer, explore artworks born of female activism in this new experience.

In honor of the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage, Cause & Æffect: Art that Speaks Out features work from 14 different artists who fought, and are still fighting for, different causes ranging from mental health, the environment, AIDS, immigration and more. The diverse mediums include paintings, tapestry and sculpture and each thought-provoking piece is meant to spark conversation and debate.

Use a guided-looking exercise to explore the symbolism in Hollis Sigler’s artwork inspired by breast cancer. Write a response to questions posed by The Clothesline — a project that sheds light on sexual violence against women. And, learn about some of the female artists represented in Mary Beth Edelson’s artwork, a take on the Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci.
