32nd Great Outdoor Art Contest
The oldest plein air painting competition in Indiana celebrates its 32nd year in 2020! This year, the competition will be spread over three days as artists compete in a variety of mediums the week leading up to Saturday, Sept. 12. Beginning on Wed., Sept. 9, we’ll kick off three days of artists at work at the site, bringing their blank pages and canvases to be stamped, then it’s off to work. Artwork will judged as 1st place/Best in Show, second place and third place, in the Large Studio at 2 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 12, via Facebook Live. A concert by the Hot Jazz Preservation Society will wrap up this fun competition.
The Great Outdoor Art Contest is part of Brown County Art Colony Weekend, Sept. 11 to 13.
