HOMESCHOOL STUDENTS: FREE
Indiana homeschool students in grades K-12 may receive free admission when visiting in groups of 10 or more.
ADULTS: FREE within a 1:5 adult/student ratio
Adult chaperones in excess of the 1:5 ratio may receive a discounted admission rate of $12.95 per person and must be paid in a single transaction. Standard museum admission rates apply to chaperones not included in pre-registration 48 hours prior to the field trip. Exceptions may be made for students and groups with special needs.
Homeschool Tuesdays occur on the first Tuesday of the month at 11:30 a.m. Individual registrations are accepted from independent homeschool educators. If you can’t attend one of our scheduled days, homeschool co-ops with at least 15 students may schedule a program of their choice on an alternative day. The schedule is available on page 19 in our K-12 Education Program Guide.
No minimum number of students required.
Preschool Journeys leads 3- to 6-year-olds on a path of discovery in art, science and history. Programs include an assortment of hands-on activities, gallery visits, story time, dramatic play and art projects.
Schedule your Preschool Journey program to be hosted here at the Indiana State Museum, or schedule it to be brought to you. Call 317.232.1637 to schedule. Preschool Journeys is a program intended for daycares, preschools, or other classes for little ones.
Artful Play | In-Museum
Take a journey through the Lois Main Templeton experience to explore colorful and playful abstract art and listen to a story about a magical rooster. In our creativity studio, grab a tool, dip it in paint and see what your imagination creates. Don’t forget to take home your new masterpiece!
