At the Indiana Art Fair, you'll find dozens of vendors selling extraordinary paintings, prints, fiber arts, glass and wood crafts. New this year, you can engage with artists as they demonstrate their talents, and create crafts of your own including paper bead jewelry and scratch art. Participate in a Valentine's Day activity and keep the little ones busy with a special project just for them. A painting workshop will be offered for a small fee.
Be sure to catch the Liar's Bench station, where you'll see art-themed items from the Indiana State Museum's collection. Meet a "crafty" interpreter, who will share three different stories about what the object is and how it was used in history, then guess which story is true. How well do you know your historic crafts?
Meet and participate in activities offered by LINE+form, a community art studio providing a wide variety of art classes for visitors of all ages. Find out why their emphasis is on the process of creating rather than the product itself.
And finally--art you can eat! Stop by Chocolate for the Spirit (on Sunday only) to learn about and purchase artisan chocolate made from Fortunato No. 4 one of the rarest, most prized varieties of cacao.
You're sure to find something new to explore around every corner at Indiana Art Fair!
All donor-level members are invited to enjoy one of our newest donor membership perks at Art Fair! Express check-in will be offered at the Information Station, located just inside the museum when entering from the parking garage, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
