As our 150th Anniversary approaches in 2019, we’re pursuing a bold plan to transform our museum and 11 historic sites into places that not only reflect our past, but lead us into the future. More immersive.

More interactive. More relevant. And more astonishing than ever before.

Now’s the time.

What's changing? Almost everything.

Hear Little Turtle's stirring speech at the signing of the Treaty of Greenville. Make your own tornado. See how young Abraham Lincoln lived at the birth of our statehood.

You'll travel through space and time - from the distant past to the possible future and back, all in a way that's more immersive, more interactive, and more relevant to 21st century audiences.

A truly statewide transformation...

Big changes are coming to our historic sites, too. We've already transformed the Levi Coffin House in Fountain City - once known as the Grand Central Station of the Underground Railroad - into America's most comprehensive, authentic interpretation of a documented Underground Railroad site with an interpretive center that opens in December of this year. We've protected the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site from water to make sure it's ready for the next 200 years, and we've restored Selma Steele's gardens to their former grandeur at the T.C. Steele State Historic Site.

These are just some of the examples of the ways that our 11 state historic sites will benefit from this campaign. We're making critical upgrades to all of our sites - upgrades that will increase accessibility and protect pricesless artifacts, including the buildings themselves.
