FROZEN REIGN

FROM THE ARCTIC KINGDOM THE ICE AGE RETURNS

EMBARK ON AN ICE-AGE EXPEDITION THROUGH TIME

Long before humans arrived in Indiana, glaciers advanced and retreated across the landscape, creating habitat for jaguars, camels and rhinos who thrived in the open grasslands. When glaciers returned, mammoths and mastodons thrived in the harsh climate. Here, you’ll explore an ice tunnel, a jaguar’s den and a frozen lake to see all kinds of Ice Age animals. Along the way, you can slide a boulder to see how glaciers scoured the land, compare your weight to a giant sloth and find out why mammoth and mastodon teeth were so different. Find what’s next!

FIRST NATIONS

DECODE ANCIENT ECHOES

MAKE CONTACT WITH INDIANA’S FIRST NATIONS

After the ice melted, the first people came to Indiana. Here, you’ll explore how Native Americans thrived in villages and towns along Indiana rivers long before contact with Europeans. They invented tools that helped them solve complex problems, built earthworks and traded with other cultures throughout North America. You’ll see jewelry, pottery and tools from thousands of years ago and try hands-on activities to find out how the first people thrived in ancient Indiana. Find what’s next!
