INDIANAPOLIS (Wednesday, Dec. 20) – The blockbuster traveling exhibit “The Power of Poison” first arrived at the Indiana State Museum in October, and now guests will be able to check out the exhibit for two extra months.
Originally only slated to stay through Feb. 11, the exhibit will now remain at the museum through April 22. Museum officials decided to extend the run due to the popularity of the exhibit and an opportunity for longer availability.
"We are excited to have the chance to extend 'The Power of Poison' exhibition into the spring to allow even more visitors to experience this great show," said Damon Lowe, the museum's senior curator of science and technology.
In the exhibit, guests can get up close with golden poison frogs, experience interactive activities that show the role poison has played in various myths and legends, see live demonstrations from guest scientists and more.
The price to visit the exhibit is included with purchase of general museum admission, and the exhibit is open during regular museum hours. "The Power of Poison" is organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
