Program Policies

All public programs must be paid in full at the time of registration. The registration deadline is 72 hours prior to the start date of the program. Age/grade requirements will be strictly enforced for all programs. Summer camps have a two-week registration deadline.

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours in advance of a program start date to receive a refund. There will be a $25 non-refundable fee for cancellations. Cancellations made less than 72 hours in advance will not receive a refund. The Indiana State Museum reserves the right to cancel any program 72 hours prior to the start date due to low registration numbers. In this case, participants will receive a full refund and have the opportunity to transfer to another program based on availability.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Policy
Parents/caregivers must accompany youth to and from classrooms and sign the youth in and out on our rosters. Programs do not start until the publicized time. Please do not drop off youth prior to this start time.

Lunch and Snacks for Camps
All campers should bring their own lunch and snacks. Please let staff know of any food allergies.

Late Pick Up Fees
The Indiana State Museum reserves the right to assess a late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute beyond the program hours at the discretion of the program instructors. This will be strictly enforced. Please plan plenty of time to find parking and make your way to the classroom by the end of the program. A courtesy phone call to let us know you are running late is appreciated. Late fees must be paid at time of pick-up.

Online Emergency Forms
The Indiana State Museum requires a completed emergency form for each youth enrolled in any drop-off program. This should be completed during registration and include all medical and food allergies. Staff will keep these forms on file. Please let us know of any changes or updates.

Children may not come to a program until they are free of a fever and/or vomiting for 24 hours.
For a medical-related refund, a doctor’s note must be provided within one week of the last day of camp to receive a full refund or credit.

Severe Weather and School Cancellation
The Indiana State Museum reserves the right to cancel a program due to severe weather and school cancellations. You can find school cancellation updates on WTHR, WISHTV, RTV6 and WXIN websites. Please check our website ( for specific program cancellations.
