FREE DAY: Presidents’ Day

Join us for a presidential celebration statewide!

Visiting the Indiana State Museum

At the Indiana State Museum, design a lunar lander for JFK’s moon mission, try your hand at sending a presidential message, explore Eisenhower’s transportation system and design a system for the future, or become an inventor just like Abe Lincoln. Test your vice-presidential knowledge or deliver a speech from White House Press Room. To ensure capacities are kept at safe levels, visitors are invited to attend from 10 a.m. to noon, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., or 3 to 5 p.m. Pre-registration is not required; admission is first-come, first-served.

Visiting a state historic site*

From Greek Revival architecture on the banks of the Ohio River to the home of one of Indiana’s most beloved impressionist painters, the perfect day trip is just a hop, skip and jump away. Visitors are strongly encouraged to call the site to reserve their visit in advance.

*NEW HARMONY, WHITEWATER CANAL AND GENE STRATTON-PORTER STATE HISTORIC SITES WILL NOT BE OPEN.
