Join us early in the morning to watch the sun reach its highest point, marking the longest day of the year and the beginning of summertime. This event also highlights the significance of one of the best-preserved, pre-contact Native American sites in North America. Angel Mounds was purposefully built centuries ago to align with celestial events like the winter and summer solstices, and the site continues to hold deep meaning for the descendants of those who once lived there.
