SUMMER CAMP COUNSELOR

Summer Camp Counselor

The Indiana State Museum is seeking Summer Camp Counselors to assist with grades 1-8 school break camps within the programs and education engagement department.

This position will work from 7:40 am-1:00 pm or 12:30–5:30pm, Monday through Friday, from June 1– 26, and July 6–31. This position may also work full days between May 26– 29 and August 3–7. The hourly pay is $16.73.

DIRECTOR OF K-12 EDUCATION

Director of K-12 Education

The Indiana State Museum is seeking a Director of K–12 Education to provide strategic leadership for all K–12 school youth and related outreach initiatives.

This position will oversee the creation, execution, promotion and evaluation of programs designed for K–12 audiences including school workshops, outreach programs, assemblies, out‑of‑school experiences, scout activities and seasonal or year‑round camps.

This person will also support curriculum development and the implementation of school‑age camp programming throughout the year. A key responsibility of this role is cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with families, educators and community partners to enhance engagement and expand the museum’s educational impact.

SUMMER CAMP COORDINATOR

Summer Camp Coordinator

The Indiana State Museum is seeking a Summer Camp Coordinator to assist in overseeing grades 1-8 summer camp programming within the programs and education engagement department.

The candidate will work 7:40 a.m.-4:40 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. (dependent on day’s activities), Monday through Friday, May 26-August 7. Mandatory training prior to beginning of camp. This position pays $20 per hour, 40 hours a week maximum, on a bi-weekly pay schedule.

GSK SCIENCE IN THE SUMMER EDUCATOR

GSK Science in the Summer Educator

The Indiana State Museum is seeking a contracted GSK Science in the Summer Educator to facilitate GSK Science in the Summer programs at offsite locations. The educator would work for the engagement team from mid-May through July during the 2026 summer session.

The educator would work up to 20 hours a week, scheduled Monday through Friday. Training will occur in mid-late May at the museum. In June and July, most time will be spent teaching programs offsite. This position pays $16.73 an hour.

SUMMER CAMP CONTRACT EDUCATOR - CULINARY CAMP

Summer Camp Contract Educator - Culinary Camp

The Indiana State Museum is seeking a Contract Educator to lead a 1-week camp for 1st–3rd graders at summer camp within the programs and education engagement department. This position will work from 7:40 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, June 1–5, leading Culinary Camp for 1st –3rd graders, and attend mandatory training prior to beginning camp on May 9. If unable to attend the May 9 training, candidate must be able to attend a make-up training session.

This position pays a weekly flat fee of $930.
