Enjoy free admission this Presidents day in New Harmony.
Step into a visionary utopian community founded in the 19th century, perfect for Presidents Day explorers interested in social experiments, architecture and community planning. You will hear the stories of the early utopian communities — the Harmonists and the Owenites — that once called the area home and learn about their ingenuity as they walk the halls of buildings they left behind, including the Fauntleroy House and Thrall’s Opera House.
Tours will be offered at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., CDT. Additionally, Community House No. 2 will be open throughout the day for visitors to discover during self-guided tours. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and advance registration is encouraged by calling 812.682.3702.
