Additional Dates & Topics

A Discussion of the Deep, Dark Underbelly of Indiana’s Past.

Yes, they were famous … but also infamous. We’re spilling the tea!

From John Dillinger to Tuffy Mitchell to Jinx Dawson and more, visitors will meet some of Indiana’s most infamous figures. Mary Figueroa, curator of history for the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, will lead a discussion with Will Higgins, former journalist and host of the “Real Weird Crimes” walking tours, shedding light on the people and places that haunt Hoosier history.

The historic L.S. Ayres Tea Room will provide an intimate setting for this program. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their best tea party attire to sip and savor a selection of teas and small bites during the program. Guests can also enjoy themed parlor games and get an up-close look at interesting objects from the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites’ collection.
