Visitors can step into a world of captivating challenges and hands-on fun when the Mazes & Brain Games experience opens Jan. 23 at the Indiana State Museum.
As the first of six seasonal exhibits that will open at the museum this year, Mazes & Brain Games will continue through April 5. Developed by Minotaur Mazes, this immersive experience will feature more than 60 small- and large-scale activities, all designed to test the perception and creative thinking skills of children and adults alike. From 3-D puzzles to giant mazes, full-body games to optical illusions and more, each area is its own dynamic learning environment where surprises await around every corner.

Visitors will be a-maze-d as they explore this mind-bending exhibit that encourages hours of exploration and engagement. The experience will also help guests develop new methods of problem-solving through improvisation, trial and error, observation, testing, logic and reasoning.
Families can navigate a labyrinth of visual trickery in the massive Maze of Illusions then grab an instrument to create unique rhythms in the Music Maze. The Web Maze will push visitors’ physical capabilities as they maneuver through an intricate rope web while the topsy-turvy Tilt-a-Maze will bring friends together to challenge each other’s hand-eye coordination.

Guests can discover a vibrant network of stimulating hues in the Color Maze and imaginations can run wild at the Make-a-Maze area. The Labyrinth Lounge also offers a chance for visitors to relax and enjoy classic brain teasers like Rubik’s Cubes, marble mazes and other tabletop puzzles.
Mazes & Brain Games is free for members and included with museum admission, which is $23 for adults, $17 for youth (ages 3-17) and $21 for seniors. Visitors can go to IndianaMuseum.org to learn more and save by purchasing admission in advance.
