During Metamora’s beloved annual fall festival, hosted by Historic Metamora, Inc., stop by the Grist Mill to purchase freshly ground corn and see grain grinding demonstrations at 11 a.m., 1:30 and 3 p.m. Visitors can also explore the transportation discovery space inside the mill to learn how Hoosiers used to get from place to place, and stop at the gift shop to find merchandise that celebrates the town’s rich canal history. Don’t miss the Duck Creek Aqueduct, the only remaining historic wooden aqueduct in the United States.
