Check out the Curiosity Cube, a solar-powered mobile science lab from MilliporeSigma, a leading science and technology company, as they bring hands-on STEM experiences to the Indiana State Museum for the second consecutive year!
With the goal of inspiring young students (ages 8-13) by showing them that scientists all over the world, who look just like them, are working to create a better tomorrow, the 2026 Curiosity Cube will explore the basics of synthetic biology through three hands-on experiments:

- Visitors will create enzyme lock and key models to demonstrate synthetic biology’s real-world applications.
- Visitors will discover that DNA is a code for cells, using Cubelet blocks to change genetic instructions.
- Visitors will learn the significance of gene activation in synthetic biology by “selecting” genes as answers in trivia.
