A Journey to the Past

Dive into a world of investigation and discovery during these two-hour sessions-ideal for stimulating an interest in science, art, history and culture. These programs feature engaging activities where adults join their learners for an interactive family experience.

Embark on an exciting journey to the past and uncover the secrets of ancient civilizations like the Mayan and Roman empires. We’ll work as a team to explore artifacts and learn how archaeologists pieced together history.

Programs occur on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted. The museum is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays with the exception of some holidays. 

Ticketing Info

This event is not included in museum admission and requires tickets. Members receive a 25% discount on tickets as well as free admission to the museum, 11 historic sites across the state, and 600+ other locations.

Registration deadline: Three days before the program. Includes $4 parking validation.
