Explore New Harmony on MLK Day

Enjoy free admission as we honor the legacy and contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.!

At New Harmony State Historic Site, visitors will hear the stories of the early utopian communities — the Harmonists and the Owenites — that once called the area home and learn about their ingenuity as they walk the halls of buildings they left behind, including the Fauntleroy House and Thrall’s Opera House.

Tours will be offered at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., CDT. Additionally, Community House No. 2 will be open throughout the day for guests to discover during self-guided tours. Tours are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and advance registration is encouraged by calling us at 812.682.3702.

This free admission day is sponsored by the Lacy Foundation.
