Experience the first day of summer in a unique way at a place that is closely connected to celestial events.

Join us for our second annual Summer Solstice Alignment Event at Angel Mounds! We’ll start before dawn on this special day to get in position to watch the breathtaking view of sunrise in perfect alignment with the mounds — a phenomenon that only occurs on the solstices. Plus, enjoy a special presentation on recent discoveries on the site’s relationship to astronomical events. Get comfy and bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on. 

Price: $5/adult, $3/youth, $4/seniors, 25% discount for members.

This event is not included in museum admission and requires tickets. Members receive a 25% discount on tickets as well as free admission to the museum, 11 historic sites across the state, and 300+ other locations.

Includes $4 parking validation. As of June 1: The program fee includes museum admission for the child; accompanying family members will save 50% on museum admission.
