Redeeming Uncle Tom: The Josiah Henson Story

This event has been postponed to Feb. 2022

View the groundbreaking documentary Redeeming Uncle Tom: The Josiah Henson Story, which restores a hero of the abolitionist movement to his rightful place in history. Explore the incredible odds Henson overcame to escape slavery with his family, and how his life inspired the character “Uncle Tom” in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s 1852 classic novel of the same name. Following the film, join in a community discussion with Josiah Henson biographer Jared Brock about Henson’s life.
