Spring, Fall and Winter Break Camps

• Registration deadline for Indiana State Museum seasonal break camps is 5 p.m. the day before camp.
• Registration for Indiana State Museum seasonal break camps can be cancelled for a full refund or rescheduled to an available camp no later than three days before program date. Registrations cancelled less than three days before the program date will not be refunded.

Summer Camps

• Registration deadline for Indiana State Museum summer weeklong camps is two weeks prior to the start of camp.
• Registration deadline for Indiana State Museum summer single-day camps is by 5 p.m. the day before the camp date.
• Registration for all Indiana State Museum summer camps can be cancelled for a full refund or rescheduled to an available camp by 5 p.m. May 1. Registration for summer camp cancelled after 5 p.m. May 1 will not be refunded.
• Registration deadlines for state historic sites summer camps vary by location. Contact the historic site directly for more information.

Indiana State Museum Youth Camp (K-Grade 8)

Camp begins at 9 a.m. Campers may arrive between 8-9 a.m. to take part in free-choice exploration. Campers can be picked up during afternoon free-choice exploration from 3:45-5 p.m. A $5 late fee will be incurred for every 5 minutes you’re late after 5 p.m. camp pick-up time.

Indiana State Museum Early Childhood Camp (Ages 4-6)

Camp begins at 9 a.m. Campers may arrive between 8:45-9 a.m. and picked up between 11:50 a.m.-12:05 p.m. Early childhood camps do not have aftercare.

Indiana State Museum Youth Camp (Entering grades 1-8)

Campers should come with their own sack lunch, two snacks, water bottle, closed-toe shoes (Crocs are not allowed) and sunscreen for recess outside, weather permitting. Let staff know of any food allergies so accommodations can be made. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available.

Indiana State Museum Early Childhood Camp (Ages 4-6)

Campers need to bring one snack and a water bottle. Let staff know of any food allergies so accommodations can be made. Refrigerators and microwaves are not available. Campers should arrive wearing sunscreen or bring sunscreen they can apply on their own.

We require completed participant, medical and behavior management forms for each youth enrolled for any drop-off program. These should be completed prior to the program and can be either emailed to [email protected] or dropped off before or brought on the first day of the program. New forms need to be completed each camp period. Please inform staff of any allergies and medical conditions before a program so we can plan accordingly.

Children may not come to a program until they are 24 hours free of a fever and/or vomiting without the use of fever-reducing medicine.

The Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites reserve the right to cancel a program due to severe weather and school cancellations. Please check our website for specific program cancellations.

The Indiana State Museum offers a limited number of spring, summer, fall and winter break camp scholarships to families that need financial assistance. To see if you qualify, complete the camp scholarship applications for youth camps (grades K-8).
