Movement & Sculpture in Abstract Art

Homeschool Art Lab is an interactive program that explores stories, ideas and meaning throughout art history. Join us in the large studio for a discussion about art and apply some of these ideas and techniques during an art activity in the classroom.

Can you feel the emotion and energy from abstract sculptures? Learn how modern artists use lines and planes to create movement, even in their 2-D art. We’ll use Alexander Calder as our muse while we create our own kinetic sculptures.
