The Indiana State Museum brings the best of the museum world home to Indiana by offering a wide variety of changing exhibits. The Ford Gallery, NiSource Gallery and Changing Exhibits Gallery are home to science, art, history and culture from Indiana and the world.

Our permanent exhibits — the Core Galleries — tell Indiana's story using artifacts from our vast collections. At first glance, the Core Galleries may appear the same each time you visit. Not so! Artifacts are actually rotated in and out of displays approximately four times each year. In some cases, these changes are small, but in many cases, the changes are significant. Always enjoy our exhibits with a keen eye so you don't miss anything!

The Indiana Treasures Cases, viewable from the Great Hall, also spotlight various items from the collection that are not currently featured in any other exhibit. The items in these cases also change periodically, so don't pass them by when you visit.
