CORYDON, Ind. – The public is invited to Real Haunted Happenings, Corydon Capitol State Historic Site’s fifth annual ghost tour on Saturday, Oct. 29.

Lantern-guided walking tours will lead brave attendees to various downtown locations where reported hauntings and happenings have occurred. Guests will also have the rare opportunity to enter the historic First State Capitol Building and the Governor Hendricks House after dark to hear staff experiences with the unknown.

“Each year we add new stories in with favorites from previous years,” said Laura Spalding, Corydon Capitol State Historic Site program developer. “You will learn history along with your ghost stories, such as the true story of the only woman to be hanged in Harrison County 200 years ago and the grounds she still haunts.”

Two tours will be offered. The first tour will begin at 8 p.m. and the second tour will begin at 9:30 p.m. Tours are limited to 30 people each and will involve walking and climbing stairs.

Tours are $15 per person and reservations are required. Tickets may be purchased at the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site administrative office, located 202 E. Walnut St. in downtown Historic Corydon or by calling the site at 812.738.4890.

For more information on this event or to make reservations, please contact Bec Riley, site manager at 812.738.4890 or [email protected].
