Free admission offered at Indiana State Museum on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

INDIANAPOLIS (Jan. 6, 2020) – The Indiana State Museum will offer free admission and special activities from museum staff and community partners throughout the museum on Jan. 20 in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

There will also be free admission offered at all of the museum system’s currently-open historic sites around the state: Angel Mounds (Evansville), Corydon Capitol (Corydon), Culbertson Mansion (New Albany), Levi and Catharine Coffin (Fountain City), Lanier Mansion (Madison), Limberlost (Geneva), T.C. WHAT: Celebrate Dr. King’s dream and explore the story of the fight for civil rights. See some of Dr. King’s most iconic speeches, experience activities themed around civil and human rights, create a “Dream” mural, and reflect on what you can do to ensure Dr. King’s dream lives on for future generations.

Visitors can also explore the entire museum for free throughout the day, including the museum’s permanent galleries and the museum’s newest experience, Rube Goldberg™: The World of Hilarious Invention!, which opens Jan. 18.
