Limberlost State Historic Site to host family-friendly New Year’s Eve

GENEVA, Indiana (Dec. 14, 2018) – Families are invited to a special New Year’s Eve celebration from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 at the Limberlost State Historic Site Visitor Center.

At the event, families will enjoy an early New Year’s balloon drop after a countdown to noon, followed by a singalong of “Auld Lang Syne.” Children can also take balloons home with them after the event.

Before the balloon drop, attendees will make a personalized noisemaker. Throughout the event, families can try their hand at carnival-style games and win New Year’s-themed items and other prizes. Light refreshments will be provided.

Cost for the event is $4/adult members of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, $3/youth member ages 3-12, $5/adult non-member, $4/youth non-member ages 3-12, and free for children younger than age 3. Tickets are purchased at the door.
