GENEVA, Ind. – The public is invited to join Limberlost State Historic Site Naturalist Curt Burnette for an exciting guided tour of the Music of the Wild Nature Preserve on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 9 a.m. to noon.

“Gene Stratton-Porter wrote about this area in her nature book Music of the Wild,” said Bill Hubbard, Limberlost State Historic Site naturalist. “This nature preserve got its name because of that.”

Participants will meet at the Limberlost Visitor Center located at 202 E. 6th Street and then drive their own vehicles to the Nature Preserves Maintenance Building on the north side of the preserve.

Participants should dress weather and hike appropriate.

Admission is $3 per person.

Limberlost State Historic Site in Adams County and the Loblolly Marsh Wetland Preserve in Jay County are located near Geneva in northeastern Indiana. Part of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites, Limberlost admission is free for Indiana State Museum & Historic Site members. General admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children. The Historic Site is located at 200 E. 6th Street in Geneva, Ind., just off U.S. Highway 27.
