Children’s Constitutional Convention (4-7th grades)
What would it be like to help write Indiana’s constitution? Children in grades 4-7 are invited to put themselves in the shoes of one of the 43 delegates responsible for creating Indiana’s Constitution at our recreation of the 1816 Indiana Constitutional Convention.
Everyone will be given a role as one of the real-life delegates, complete with facts about that person and their role at the convention. Then, we’ll vote on issues that were addressed at the convention and see how our opinions compare to the real thing!
Afterward, everyone will receive a booklet about the constitution and an actual piece of the famed Constitution Elm.
Price: $5/non-members; 25% discount for members
Registration deadline: June 12
