Sensory Friendly Afternoon

Experience a sensory friendly environment for families with children and adults with autism, or individuals with other sensory or developmental needs. In a comfortable and accepting environment, you’ll spend time in two of our newest exhibits, Major Taylor: Fastest Cyclist in the World and How People Make Things where overhead music will be reduced, lights will be dimmed and sensory manipulatives and activities will be made available. Social narratives will be available at the ticket counter and sensory based activities will be spaced throughout the museum.
