Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites

Discover how people have used the stars throughout history as a guide. Explore the African American folk song, “Follow the Drinking Gourd,” and learn how its words helped freedom-seekers on their journeys. See stars during a virtual experience thanks to the Joseph Moore Museum’s planetarium and learn more about the “drinking gourd” in the night sky. Partake in astronomy-focused crafts and  hands-on activities. Registration required by 5 p.m. on Dec. 16. Recommended for ages 8-12.
