Reading About Freedom: Can I Touch Your Hair?
Discover great books that teach the history of our country and the value of other perspectives. This program features a reading from a book on the African American experience titled, “Can I Touch Your Hair? Poems of Race, Mistakes and Friendships.” Afterwards, children will write poems to learn how people can experience the same things differently and make a take-home craft. Registration is recommended by Feb. 2. Recommended for ages 6-9.
